Terms of Service
Terms of Use of the Platform Last updated: June 6, 2026 By accessing or using the platform, you declare that you have read and accepted the following terms.
1️⃣ Description These Terms govern the use of PodSubs (“the Platform”). The Platform provides a curated library of selected YouTube videos together with AI-generated transcripts, translations, subtitles, analyses, commentaries, and other related content in various languages. These services are produced through the use of artificial intelligence systems specifically selected, configured, and managed by the Platform with the aim of achieving the highest possible quality. Through the Platform, users may: • Browse the Platform’s curated library and watch its videos displayed through the official YouTube embedding system. • Read AI-generated transcripts, translations, subtitles, analyses, commentaries, and other related content associated with those videos. • Download such generated content, subject to the permissions and restrictions set out in these Terms. • Save videos to their personal “MyVideos” list for future access. • Request the processing of additional YouTube videos supported by the Platform. Users may also choose to authorize the Platform to make the resulting content publicly available within the Platform; however, such authorization does not obligate the Platform to do so, and the final decision on whether to publish any such content remains solely at the Platform’s discretion. All viewing pages use exclusively the official YouTube embedded iframe. Users may at any time access the original video on YouTube through the relevant link provided by the official YouTube player. All rights to the videos remain with their respective creators and YouTube.
The results are generated algorithmically and may contain inaccuracies or omissions, for which the platform bears no responsibility.
The opinions and perspectives expressed by video speakers or AI systems do not necessarily represent the platform.
2️⃣ Users and Access The platform content is of a general educational and reflective nature and does not include material unsuitable for minors.
However, parental consent requirements apply according to the legislation of the user’s country.
All users, regardless of country of origin, enjoy the same personal data protection in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3️⃣ Registration and Subscription The platform may be used without an account for up to 60 minutes per day.
Such use includes all functions except the ability to save content (such as viewed videos and AI conversations).
Free registration adds content-saving functionality, while a paid subscription of €7 per month additionally provides unlimited daily use of the platform.
The subscription is activated for a period selected by the user (e.g., one month or one quarter). Renewal is not automatic unless chosen by the user. Upon expiration, the account automatically reverts to the free 60‑minutes‑per‑day mode. Any content already saved remains stored, although no additional content may be saved while the account remains in free mode.
The processing of registration data is governed by the Platform Privacy Policy.
4️⃣ Permitted Use Users may download material generated by the platform — such as translated subtitles, descriptions, or commentaries — and use it for public or educational reproduction, provided that they clearly indicate its source by mentioning both the platform name and the exact URL corresponding to the material used.
If translated subtitles or other generated material are modified, it must be explicitly stated that it is an “edited version”.
Commentaries generated by the AlterAI artificial intelligence system may be reproduced only in their original form. Modification or selective presentation in a manner that alters their meaning is not permitted.
Such commentaries may only be used or quoted when accompanied by a clear attribution to the source.
Sharing the link to any platform video is also permitted (and encouraged), so that the material may be viewed within the platform environment.
Account Termination: If the platform determines that a user has violated these Terms of Use, it reserves the right to suspend or terminate that user’s account.
In any case, if termination results in the loss of prepaid usage time, the platform will refund the corresponding amount.
5️⃣ Copyright Videos remain the property of their creators and of YouTube; the Platform acquires no rights over them. However, the Platform’s generated content (such as subtitles and translations) is the product of the Platform’s investment in the selection, configuration, and controlled use of artificial intelligence systems and other technological means, with the aim of achieving the highest possible quality of the generated material. Accordingly, such content belongs to the Platform. Furthermore, the creation, selection, organization, classification, presentation, and overall arrangement of the Platform’s content, as well as the database resulting therefrom, are the product of substantial creative, organizational, and financial investment and are protected under applicable law. The systematic extraction, copying, reproduction, or reuse of a substantial part of the Platform’s content or database without the Platform’s prior written permission is prohibited. Public use of the generated material is permitted, but its commercial exploitation without permission is prohibited. The creator of the video retains all rights to the videos, while the Platform retains all rights to the generated content.
The display of videos on the Platform is carried out exclusively through the official YouTube embedding system. PodSubs does not display YouTube videos from its own infrastructure or through an independent video player. If a video is removed, made private, or otherwise becomes unavailable on YouTube, its display through PodSubs will also cease. PodSubs further reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to discontinue the display of any video through the Platform, regardless of whether that video remains available on YouTube. Consequently, the inclusion of a video in the “MyVideos” list does not imply or guarantee that it will necessarily and without exception remain permanently available for viewing through PodSubs. However, the removal or unavailability of a video does not necessarily affect the availability of PodSubs-generated content associated with it, such as summaries, commentaries, translations, or other supplementary materials. Such content may continue to be available even if the corresponding video is no longer viewable through PodSubs. At the same time, PodSubs reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to modify, update, replace, improve, or remove any such content at any time, regardless of whether the corresponding video remains available on YouTube or through the Platform.
6️⃣ Content and Disclaimer The opinions and interpretations displayed on the Platform—whether originating from humans or generated automatically by artificial intelligence systems—do not necessarily represent the views of the Platform or its administrators. The Service is provided “as is,” without any express or implied warranty regarding the accuracy, correctness, or completeness of the generated content. We do not guarantee that every video submitted by a user for translation will at all times be technically capable of being analyzed, transcribed, subtitled, or translated. Successful processing may be affected by temporary technical issues affecting YouTube, third-party services, or the artificial intelligence systems used by the Platform. We are not liable for: • direct or indirect damages, including loss of data or income, • errors or omissions in translations or other generated content. The Platform’s maximum aggregate liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of the most recently paid monthly subscription. Use of the Platform and its content is entirely at the user’s own risk.
7️⃣ Modification or Discontinuation of Features or the Service We reserve the right to add, modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features of the Platform. We also reserve the right to discontinue the Service as a whole for technical, business, or legal reasons. If the discontinuation of the Service results in the loss of prepaid usage time, the Platform will refund the corresponding amount. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be announced in advance through the Platform.
8️⃣ Account and Data Deletion The user may delete their account at any time directly from the account settings.
Personal data deletion is completed within 30 days of confirmation of the action.
Certain information related to invoicing or accounting documentation may be retained beyond this period where required by applicable law (e.g., tax records).
Once deletion is completed, the account and its content are permanently removed from the active systems of the platform, and the process is irreversible.
9️⃣ Privacy Policy The processing of personal data is governed by the Platform Privacy Policy, which is available through a dedicated link on the Platform website. For users outside the European Union, GDPR principles apply by analogy with respect to data protection and user rights.
1️⃣0️⃣ Law, Jurisdiction, and Validity of Terms These Terms are governed by Greek law and by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – GDPR).
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or application shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Athens, Greece.
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable by a court, such invalidity shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Use of the platform signifies that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use.
The legally binding original text is the Greek version. Translations are provided solely for the convenience of users. In the event of any discrepancy between versions, the Greek text shall prevail.
